London College of Fashion Social Responsibility and Centre for Fashion Curation commissioned a specially designed cabinet to host a series of small exhibitions/installations, being taken to audiences who cannot usually access museum displays.
It launched at a London-based women’s prison and went on to appear at two more locations: the East London NHS Foundation Trust – a facility for patients with borderline personality disorders, and Silk Court home for the elderly in Bethnal Green.
Cabinet Stories was then opened to the public for the first time at Emmaus Greenwich, Poplar shop from 7 October to 2 November 2016. At Emmaus, all the exhibitions were put on display at the same time and accompanied by a free workshop programme, some of which will be open to the public on a first come first served basis.
